Workshop Technician
Location: Bransgore, Christchurch
Hourly Rate: £11.00ph
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 4pm

Our client, a bustling workshop, is looking for a Workshop Technician to help with cutting timbers and general duties around the shop floor. The chosen candidate will be reliable, trustworthy and well presented.

The Responsibilities and duties of Workshop Technician:
• Work as part of a team and use own initiative with daily tasks whilst proactively finding ways to enhance the process
• Bring forward creative thinking and new ideas to the table
• Support workshop manager and supervisor in meeting production schedules
• Keep workshop tidy from a health and safety point of view
• Be mindful of material costs and limit wastage
• Have health and safety in mind at all times and follow best practice
• Inform Manager/Supervisor what materials we are low on, what needs ordering and the production schedule
• Support the Supervisor in the operational and administrative duties of the workshop

Experience and Skills needed for Workshop Technician:
• Previous experience with Woodwork machines is desirable
• Previous labouring experience is desirable
• Comfortable with lifting and being on machinery after training
