With over 25 years of experience, this family business has a great reputation for providing a wide variety of services to both industrial and commercial clients. The company is made up of four divisions: electrical, facilities services, fire and safety, access and security.

Our client is currently looking for a proactive and enthusiastic stores and purchasing team member to work at their office location in Telford.

About the role:

The candidate will be involved in the purchasing of Electrical, Fire & Safety, Access & Security and Facilities services materials for stock, jobs and our installation engineers.

The job involves :

Using our client’s CRM systems and quotation packages to review what materials require obtaining from their stores stock or ordering from our suppliers. Communicating with the customer delivery team and engineers regarding these materials needed and time frames that they will be required.
Sorting stock materials from stores and then sending materials lists out to suppliers of materials that need to be purchased, communicating price and time frame
Sorting supplier quotations by price and availability, giving order numbers to suppliers using our CRM system ensuring that company procedure is followed including materials orders filled out on the CRM system.
Unpacking and unloading of materials upon arrival. Signing off delivery notes using the CRM system and checking that we have received everything for job to be undertaken.
Ordering of stores stock replacements, booking materials in stock and keeping shelves stocked as per theCRM set service levels.
Liaising and communicating with suppliers in regards any items of purchased equipment that has not been used on an allocated job for return to themselves for credits to be received.

Qualifications and skills:

Previous purchasing and stores experience within the Electrical, Fire & Safety and Access & Security field
Must be able to work well under pressure.
Must be a quick learner, confident and be able to think for themselves
Must be well organised and have good attention to detail
Must be computer literate
Must have excellent communication skills
