Connect Appointments are seeking a hands-on Planner / Stock Controller / Banana Ripener to join our clients team in Livingston. You’ll need to have experience in a fast-paced production or stock control environment, excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and be able to organise yourself and others. Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities include maintaining adequate stock levels, planning incoming transport, allocating rooms for green fruit, and liaising with hauliers to ensure timely deliveries of fruit. You’ll also make decisions on the most effective and efficient use of bananas, gas fruit in rooms, and ripen bananas according to customer specifications.
Working within the produce team, the successful candidate will need to be able to plan-ahead, think on their feet and be able to lift heavy boxes (up to 22kg at times). When checking fruit within Ripening Rooms, some work is at height and the candidate will be required to climb a ladder.
This is a Tuesday to Saturday, 04:30 to 15:30 – with flexibility required to meet the demands of the business. Additional hours worked may be given back as lieu time.
