Staff Nurse – Maud Alex Assessment | Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Maud Alex is a 10 bedded Medical Assessment Unit, assessing a wide range of medical emergency conditions transferred from the Emergency Department. Once assessed by the Acute Medical Team, treatment will be commenced, and patients transferred to the most appropriate area in a timely fashion, or discharged home. Patients requiring a short stay may stay under the care of the unit for up to 48 hours prior to discharge.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a unit with a new function aimed at facilitating the trust wide patient flow initiative, and ensure the patient experience is optimised.

This is an opportunity for you to develop excellent clinical skills in acute medicine whilst delivering individualised, patient centred care of the highest standard.
