The job involves daily responsibility for patients referred to and treated by the Stroke Service: initial review, ongoing patient-management, ward rounds and coordinated multidisciplinary input. The successful candidate will be part of the hyper-acute stroke response team, assessing patients for thrombolysis in the Emergency department and referring patients to neuroscience centres for thrombectomy. The trainee also will assess high risk TIA patients in the Rapid Access TIA clinics on the designated day and will have stroke clinic experience.
