Specialty Doctor (SAS) in Medical Oncology

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust has an exciting, newly created post which provides support to Oncology care in outpatient clinics and acute oncology ward rounds. There will be no on-call or weekend commitments.
The post-holder is expected to hold the MRCP qualifications (or equivalent) and have a minimum of four years (FTE or equivalent) postgraduate training in the UK (or equivalent EEA training) of which at least 2 years training must be in the medical oncology. This post does not carry accreditation for the purposes of medical oncology training, although the experience will be of value to trainee oncologists in the formal (RCP) and non formal (CESR) training programmes.
The post-holder will work closely with the existing consultant team and will be well supported as a core member of the multidisciplinary teams within hospital. The post holder will be expected to assist in outpatient clinics and acute oncology ward rounds. There will be no on-call or weekend commitments. The post holder will be personally responsible to the Lead Clinician for Oncology. The post-holder will provide continuing responsibility for patients in their charge in close partnership with consultants assigned as their supervisors.
This is a fixed term full time Specialty Doctor post in medical oncology. This post will be a fixed term contract for 12 months.
