An exciting opportunity has arisen for a doctor with skills and experience in supporting people to manage complex chronic pain conditions.The South-West Hampshire Pain Management Service offers holistic, multi-disciplinary pain management pain management for people with complex chronic pain conditions. The service promotes supported self-management with both individual and group-based appointments. Medication reviews and advice, along with other interventions, such as spinal injections, may be offered for specific conditions.The job is based at Romsey Hospital and will involve a combination of face to face and remote working. The team consists of a medical consultant, clinical psychologist and specialist physiotherapists.This role will involve supporting the team with medication reviews at MDT meetings, face to face & remote consultations and liaising with other colleagues. The candidate should be willing to
train to perform spinal injections.We have close working relationships with the neuromodulation team at Southampton General Hospital and the local orthopaedic triage service and there will be opportunities to be involved with this.Suitable candidates will need to have some experience using a biopsychosocial approach to medicine.
