What you’ll do:

Build and deliver innovative end-to-end solution designs that meet the requirements of the sponsor while maintaining the overall integrity of the technology estate.
Develop, manage and mentor a highly performing team of Solution Architects for your portfolio area ensuring that the team has the skills and knowledge to deliver the fast-paced roadmap of change at Sky.
Alongside the Principal Architect, manage demand against the capacity of the portfolio team to ensure that the portfolio team is always focussed on the right tasks and ensuring clarity of our delivery commitments.
Collaborate with Analysis, UX/UI, Delivery, Engineering and wider stakeholder teams to ensure that our solutions deliver real business value and positive technology change.
In collaboration with the Principal Architects, own and evolve the technology change roadmap for your portfolio area, balancing the need for modern, extensible systems with the rapid delivery of business change.
Represent your portfolio area and technology team in the wider technology community, ensuring that end-to-end solutions are fit for purpose and aligned to our target architectures

What you’ll bring:

Extensive experience of Solution Architecture & Design in an enterprise setting, ideally (but not mandatory) including exposure to industry standard design methodologies such as TOGAF, eTOM, etc.
Experience as a strong influencer, able to manage a team of experienced and autonomous technologists towards a shared goal.
Skills as good communicator, able to influence senior technology stakeholders and a broad technology community of your designs and strategies.
You will participate as domain expert on internal working groups and forums as requested; and represent Sky in technology, standards and professional forums as appropriate.

You’ll be at the heart of delivering the technology roadmaps that support our UK and Ireland businesses, with a focus on customer innovations for Sky Glass. That’s not all. You’ll also design, develop and deliver digital services for millions of customers across the UK.

Our lively campus is a free shuttle bus away from Livingston South train station and the town centre. Plus there’s onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
You’ll be well fed at our subsidised canteen, and you can keep in shape at our onsite gym – or play a game of pool or table tennis.

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
On campus, you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed, and even get pampered at our beauty salon.

Our spacious tech hub is less than a mile from Leeds train station. There’s plenty of parking in the surrounding streets and at the nearby CitiPark.
