The post holder will work within Bristol Heart Institute/ UHBW and be responsible for organising a number of outpatient clinics. This will include the receipt and processing of referrals in accordance with . The role of Senior Health Care Support Worker – Clinic Coordinator is to deliver direct care to patients and support multidisciplinary team. The role is therefore responsible for setting high standards of patient care by enacting the Trust’s values at all times
You will carry out a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare, or therapeutic tasks, under the direct or indirect supervision of the registered healthcare practitioner.
Co-ordinate clinic set up, including the allocation of rooms and staff, ensuring effective patient flow.
Work alongside the nurse in charge to support timely admissions of acutely ill patients and ensure effective handovers undertaken in a timely manner.
Responsible for ordering supplies, patient literature and stationary.

All Training required for this post will be supported by Department Manager.
Nursing Care (under indirect supervision, once deemed competent)
Obtain consent prior to giving care in accordance with Trust policies.
• Support the care of acutely ill patients requiring admission and ensure effective and prompt handover.
• To carry out a range of clinical duties with minimal / no supervision, including for example, blood pressure monitoring, oxygen saturation levels, body temperature, pulse rate and respiration rate, glucose monitoring, collection and testing of urine samples / faecal samples / sputum samples and wound swabs ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care at all times. NB: this list is not exhaustive and will vary depending on area of work.
• Participate in patient assessment providing high quality holistic patient care and escalating concerns about patients to other clinical staff, including admissions.
• Practice safe standards of care to patients following Trust guidelines and policies and policies and be able to concentrate for periods throughout the day with occasional interruptions.
• Provide clinical care in accordance with the infection prevention and health and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain the work environment in line with Trust infection control and patient safety policies
