The Recruitment Co are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Buyer to join our client’s team based in Paisley. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, negotiating contracts, and maintaining relationships with suppliers. You will also be responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities, ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining accurate records.
Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts
Manage relationships with suppliers, resolving issues and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services
Monitor and analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure purchasing needs are met
Maintain accurate records of purchasing activity
Provide guidance and support to junior members of the purchasing team
Proven experience as a Buyer or similar role
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to analyse market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with purchasing software
