SENDCO needed in a primary school in Litherland starting in September 2023

Your new role
An excellent opportunity has arisen in Litherland for a SENDCO to join a brilliant primary school. The school are working with Hays Education in order to find a SENDCO/class teacher to join their team for September 2023.

You do not need prior experience as a SENDCO in order to apply for this role as the school will put you through all necessary training. You do however, need to be passionate about SEN and inclusion.

The class you will take over will be in upper KS2 with 29 pupils. Your class will include some SEN children with various needs. You will have the help of one general teaching assistant whilst the school is looking to put a EHCP in place for one pupil hopefully resulting in funding for a 1:1 teaching assistant.

You will also be expected to take on a subject lead role; ideally in IT, MFL, DT or PSHE.

What you’ll need to succeed

Must hold UK Qualified Teacher status
Have a passion for SEN and inclusion
SENCO qualification is not needed but must be willing to learn on the job and complete all necessary training
Willing to take on a subject lead
