Cranleigh C of E Primary School seeks a patient, dedicated and fun team member to join our SEND support. We are an inclusive school supporting each child as a unique individual and are excited to advertise for a 1:1 Support Assistant to join us. Working alongside the current team of support staff and the school SENDCO this role will be a rewarding challenge for the right person.
• Do you have experience of working in a school setting?
• Do you have experience of working with children with SEND, supporting them to achieve their individual targets?
• Do you have knowledge of neurodiversity such as ASD and/or ADHD, and strategies that can be effective in supporting individual children to thrive?
• Do you enjoy engaging children in their learning, and supporting teachers to deliver exciting lessons that are tailored to engage individual children and accommodate their needs?

How you will make the difference:
• Support with the delivery of targeted strategies and interventions that have been developed by the school SENDCO, class teacher, parents and Surrey specialist teachers.
• Work 1:1 with children and/or in small groups to support the delivery of targeted learning both in the classroom and other learning spaces, as well as support the application of these skills during class lessons.
• Support with the class routines e.g. change books, check communication diaries.
• Liaise with team members and parents.
• Support the team to create a purposeful and engaging learning environment.

Pro-rata: £14,275 – £14,972
