We have a vacancy for a Production worker to join the team at the Fife branch in Cowdenbeath.
The key responsibilities of the Production
worker are:
To help with the day-to-day running of the
branch
To be able to follow a set of instructions and produce materials to
our high level of quality control
Ensuring the safe and accurate loading of customer orders.
Serving customers in the yard to ensure customer orders are fulfilled
fully.
To assemble customer orders in the yard and production areas so
that they are ready for uplift or collection by couriers / transport
companies, which may require the use of a counterbalance forklift truck.
Ensuring all stock is safely stored and protected against the
weather.
Check stock levels & advise when stocks are low so they can be
re-ordered in time.
Dealing with damages effectively and promptly.
Driving company vehicles safely to deliver customer orders or make
site to site transfers.
Ensuring personal compliance with all Health and Safety
obligations.
The key skills required to be successful in
this role include:
Excellent communication skills and a friendly and helpful approach
at all times.
Great customer service skills and the ability to manage task and
time effectively in an often busy trade counter environment.
Holding a full clean driving licence.
Holding a Forklift Certificate would be useful.
An interest in buildings, architecture and/or conservation would be
useful.
Starting salary and benefits is based on experience.
There is a12-week probationary period, which each new start has to pass in order to be
confirmed as a full-time member of the team.
