What you’ll do:

Act as the technical lead to a team of engineers working cross-functionally in an agile environment.
Be a top-notch coder and an expert in the domain, capable of deep diving into implementation details of components and features across the technology stacks.
Be at the forefront of significant technology initiatives from inception to successful deployment.
Work closely with Enterprise Architecture to develop optimal software/system architecture
Stay on top and drive the adoption of advanced features and capabilities where it makes sense.
Help shape the technical direction and the improvement of tools and processes across the department

What you’ll bring:

A minimum of 8 years software engineering experience
Excellent Java 8+ knowledge and a strong understanding of Spring framework
Experience following coding standards and performing peer code reviews
CI/CD experience (ideally with Jenkins)
Strong communication skills
Desire to continuously learn and share knowledge with others

You’ll also design, develop and deliver digital services for millions of customers across the UK.
