Main duties
• To interpret customer engineering drawings and specifications
• To prepare accurate costs for materials, labour and services IFS ERP system to prepare customer quotations
• To respond to technical queries raised by customers and suppliers
• To generate estimates for bought out items, engineering costs etc
• To seek out new suppliers and sub-contractors to achieve the best ‘value for money’ and ‘competitive lead times’
• To provide detailed manufacturing steps including tooling, bills of material and process routings
• To cover purchasing during busy periods
• To work with managers and supervisors to implement the company’s policies and business objectives
• Carry out any other duties reasonable and within capability
