North Shropshire Primary Care Network (PCN) has an exciting opportunity to recruit four Physician Associates, either newly qualified or with
more experience. GP practices in North Shropshire PCN have experience of
working with PAs, as we have successfully recruited and retained 3 PAs since
January 2021. Successful candidates will be based in Oswestry, Ellesmere or Whitchurch.Newly qualified Physician
Associates will be part of the Shropshire/ Staffordshire preceptorship. The
Staffordshire Preceptorship was the first primary care Preceptorship of its
kind and was established in October 2017. The preceptorship is recognized by
the Royal College of Physicians and provides a foundation for commencing a
career in primary care. During the yearlong program there are half day protected
teaching sessions on Wednesdays. These sessions also provide informal peer and
tutor support. Following the successful completion of the internship you
receive a certificate. More experienced Physician Associates will also be
provided with support.

other learning and CPD opportunities.
