We would like to recruit experienced midwives on 12 months fixed term contracts to cover vacancies which have become available as a result of maternity leave.
Weare looking for experienced midwives with a passion to deliver Antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care whilst supporting vulnerable women in the Oasis Safeguarding Team.
The Maternity Hospital is the centre for all high risk care in east Dorset and is fully equipped to meet the needs of women and babies with complications, as well as women with normal pregnancies and births. The Maternity Serviceprovides a comprehensive service, offering women as much choice as possible in their maternity care; around 4,1000 babies are delivered byour maternity staff each year, either at home or within the birth centre and labour ward in the hospital. The Maternity Service offers a traditional model of midwifery care with separate teams for the acute and community service with on-going development of continuity models of care.
We also have an excellent record for staff training and development whilst supporting and encouraging midwives to practice autonomously.
It is anticipated that the post holder will be working across both sites but will be proximately based where their caseload is.
We currently have a motivated Named Midwife for Safeguarding and an experienced Lead Midwife who are keen to develop and support staff working in safeguarding.
You must have NMC registration and post preceptorship as a minimum.
