As a specialist Nurse Dementia Therapist in this setting, you will be responsible for providing the highest level of personal care and attention to people living with dementia, formulating, implementing, and maintaining care plans. You will also supervise the staff in the Reconnect community, ensuring the delivery of care is within the expectations of the Reconnect model.You will ensure that people are treated with respect and dignity, your approach is empathetic, compassionate and focused on ensuring their life is the best it can be, focussing on the strengths and abilities of each person.You will need to be understanding and patient towards people and their needs, and encourage, assist and support people to participate in appropriate leisure activities and activities of daily living, normalising life as much as possible with joy and happiness.People living with dementia often have continuing periods of loss
