We are currently recruiting into our team on fixed term contracts with a view to permanent positions in the future. This is a pivotal time to join University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, as we continue to embed new ways of working to shape our future.
The BRI General Internal Medical service currently consists of two consultants, who work closely with other specialty teams including Acute Medicine, Respiratory and Care of the Elderly. As part of our strategy to improve inpatient care the Division of Medicine at UHBW is looking to appoint to a long term locum role to grow the General Internal Medicine service. We will support colleagues’ professional clinical areas of interest and are open to negotiations on your individual job plan. We are also very keen to hear from candidates who wish to follow a CESR pathway. The Trust has an established CESR lead role and is committed to supporting candidates though this process.
If you would like to arrange a departmental visit or an informal conversation please contact Dr Anne McCune, Clinical Director (Anne.McCune@uhbw.nhs.uk) or Emma-Kate Reed, (Emma-Kate.Reed@uhbw.nhs.uk) , Clinical Chair for Medicine.
The successful applicant will join the clinical team at the Bristol Royal Infirmary contributing to the General Medicine inpatient service. The Trust is committed to develop its acute and general medical services, and we have made major changes to our model recently. The appointed physician will join the team of Specialty Physicians, including Acute Medicine, to deliver excellent inpatient and outpatient medical care, with focus on managing the increased demand over the winter period.
