To be the Local Security Management Specialist (LSMS), reporting to the Lead LSMS, for Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust (hereafter known as the Trust).
To help ensure the LSMS service is developed and delivered to the highest professional standards that will ensure the Trust complies with national legislation and guidance on Security Management.
To provide specialist advice and support on security and conflict resolution matters to all staff, whether on Trust premises or not.
To ensure that local security management training is developed and provided in accordance with a current ‘training needs analysis’ and in line with Trust policies and national guidance.
To assist the Lead LSMS to develop and implement the Trust’s ‘Security Strategy’ and other relevant policies and procedures.
To work closely with other Trust departments to ensure a consistent and comprehensive approach to security across all Trust sites.
To develop and maintain effective working relationships with external bodies including the local police, National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) and National Association of Health Care Security (NAHS).
