IT Infrastructure Engineer role, based in Chatham, Competitive Salary £42-58K DOE. Hybrid Working Options

Chatham based company who’s growing their headcount over the next year, bring a higher demand on their systems and servers. The role will be based out of their main office in Chatham and also will include remote working.
Your new role
Supporting (patching, maintain and managing) production and Dev and Test environments (on premise and Cloud) and Support infrastructure at an Operating System and Application level
Provide support to the existing Server infrastructure and act as escalation for team support activities.
Administration and development of On-Premise Exchange and Office 365 environments
Offer expertise within the team for the resolution of all technical incidents and problems
Keep all of the environment patched to the required standards at all time.
Creation and growth of Dev-Ops approaches and increase the use of Infrastructure as code throughout the enterprise.
Creation of technical documentation and knowledge transfer to IT Level 1, 2 and 3 teams.
Assist in developing and growing the server estate ensuring that it is fault tolerant and resilient
Document common process & practice, including process flow diagrams, process and procedures around identified Service Improvements, maintaining Knowledge Base
Provide SME support to Problem Management and proactively work to identify and resolve problems.
Support and mentor new starters in various Infrastructure technologies
Provide out of hours support for major incidents as part of an on-call rota
Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation’s Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do.

Maintain the company’s compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on-line training modules and attestations.
What you’ll need to succeed
5+ years’ experience within MS Active Directory at Enterprise/Multi Forest Scale
5+ years’ experience within MS Exchange and Exchange Online
3+ years’ experience with MS Azure and Cloud Based computing methodologies
Robust knowledge of MS Windows Servers and MS Exchange Servers
Good knowledge of Microsoft Cloud based solutions (Azure, O365/M365, Exchange Online)
Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting
What you’ll get in return
5+ years’ experience with VMware and working in a large scale, multi-site virtualised environment.
3+ years’ experience with MS Active Directory at Enterprise/Multi Forest Scale
3+ years’ experience with MS Exchange and Exchange online
In depth knowledge of vCenter Server and ESXi across all vendor supported versions
Knowledge of Storage Technologies – Nimble, HPE 3Par, DELL PowerStore
Knowledge of MS Windows Servers and MS Exchange Servers
Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
