Investigation Support Officer
Location: Flexible, the role will be contracted to our Wilmslow office. Salary:?£23,946 – £26,836 per annum, plus excellent benefits.

The Role
The Investigations Directorate is responsible for investigating civil breaches, contraventions and criminal offences contrary to the legislation regulated by the ICO. The Investigation Support Officer will primarily be responsible for providing support to the privacy and digital marketing investigation team who have responsibility for investigations targeting individuals and organisations causing harm to the general public through nuisance calls and messages. They will also have the opportunity to support and learn about the work of all the teams across the directorate.
The role of the Investigation Support Officer is varied and they will be responsible for a wide range of duties required to support the work of all members of the investigation team. They will assist Lead Case Officers in the completion of high quality, timely investigations into breaches of relevant data protection legislation through case research, conducting enquiries and analysis of data. They will also support the management team through the production of accurate performance data and briefings as well as taking minutes of significant internal and external meetings.
