The Group Infrastructure Operations (GIO) function within Digital, Data & Technology Services (DDTS) is recruiting an Infrastructure Technical Lead.This post is one of a small group of Technical Leads who are Subject Matter Experts providing technical assurance for the operational environment across the Defra Group estate for End User, Hosting and Connectivity, IT infrastructure services.The successful candidate will be a driving influence of the provision of infrastructure technologies, ensuring overall functionality and performance meets business requirements with the overarching goal of protecting the operational environment. You will use your significant Subject Matter Expert technical knowledge to ensure the technical environment is a robust, stable and secure platform for the wide range of services which underpin Defra’s IT provision.Infrastructure services are key to the ability of Defra Group, its arm’s length bodies (ALB) and its internal and external end-users to perform critical everyday activities, you will play a key role assuring the availability of these services.
