HSE Advisor

I am currently working on an exciting opportunity to join an Industry Leading Manufacturing company based in St Helen’s who are looking for a HSE Advisor to join their business. They continue to undergo significant investment on new production lines, constantly upgrading and adding new production equipment. Their production facility has undergone several audits the most important being we are a BRC grade A accredited site.

You will be a key part of the business to drive Health and Safety practices across the 3 units, working closely with all the employees. This role is a great opportunity for a Health and Safety professional who has experience working in a stand alone role within a manufacturing company who is looking to make their impact and grow with the business over the next coming years.

Developing, implementing, and monitoring the effectiveness of health and safety policies and procedures
Conducting and recording regular risk assessments and site inspections
Carrying out and recording incident investigations
Training and coaching employees on safety related issues
Plan, manage and measure the health and safety function on site
Liaise and coordinate with the site and plant manager on priorities and advise on health and safety matters.
Undertake regular site inspections and audits.
Maintain and administer sites health and safety action plans.
Compiling of health and safety statistics and prepare regular reports on the performance of health and safety in the plant.
Identify potential hazards and determine ways of reducing risks.
Support communication and promotion of health and safety themes
Ensure working practices comply with legislation.

To be considered for this role you must have:

NEBOSH National General Certificate
Proven health and safety experience in a process/manufacturing environment

Full time, permanent position offering a salary up to £40,000 depending on experience, 20 days holiday and Pension scheme.
