This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead to join an innovative, clinically and forensically skilled, centralised Health Public Protection Hub offering highly specialist risk formulation and management advice, guidance, training and expertise to teams and clinicians working across all divisions in the trust. The Clinical Leads within the team provide case consultation on the risk of dangerous to others by completing forensic risk assessment tools.
The role of the Clinical Lead involves extensive liaison between external agencies central to MAPPA, Victim Liaison and PREVENT. The Clinical Lead will ensure that the quality of the Health Public Protection Hub operation is of a high standard through regular auditing and benchmarking.
The successful applicant will undergo an extensive training programme on the formulation of risk specifically with regards to sexual and violent offenders and the management of their risk towards others. The successful applicant will gain knowledge and expertise around the National Victims Agenda and the PREVENT/Channel programme. They will be able to provide training and guidance around identifying those vulnerable to offending behaviour or who may become a risk to others. The Clinical Leads attend MAPPA meetings and Channel panels as core panel members representing the trust.
This role is offered to RMNs, Social Workers and AHPs. Relevant experience in forensic services desirable but not essential.
