Dimensions is currently seeking a FemaleSupport Worker to empower the independence of one lady with Learning Disabilities and Epilepsy in her home in the Kinson area of Bournemouth.DimensionsSupport Workers do not need prior experience in Health Care Assistant or Social Care roles.We are looking for a Part-time Female Support Worker who is happy to work every other weekend (Saturday 7.0-14.30, Sunday 14.15-22.00 plus either a Friday or Sunday sleep-in shift). There any also be the opportunity to pick up some shifts during the week. We are able to offer a pay rate of £11.03 per hour (sleep-in shifts are paid at an allowance of £45).The lady we support, who is in her 40’s, enjoys a wide range of activities both at home and in the local area. Activities Female Support Workers may take part in with her include:- Trips out to local cafes for tea and cake- Visiting Upton Country Park- Walks at local beaches (Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch all get a look in)- Listening to music – she loves her support workers introducing her to new bands- Soaking up rays in the garden – weather permitting- Regular visits with family which often include trips to McDonalds for McFlurry’sWe need Female Support Workers to be drivers (although you don’t need access to your own vehicle) as this lady has her own car that you will take her out in.Although this lady doesn’t communicate using words, she can understand you and will take you around the house to show you what she wants. She also communicates using gestures and body language.
