Duty Mental Health Practitioner HUB | Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust

The Community Mental Health HUB is looking to recruit a full time Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to support the duty system.

The HUB duty system is available for all service users accepted to the HUB for support in the absence of their keyworker/a keyworker, along with liaising with families, carers and other professional agencies.

This is a full-time post consisting of 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm Monday -Friday

You must be innovative, have good communication skills, be approachable and committed to providing a quality service to our service users and their carers/family

We are looking for someone who wants to grow and develop their knowledge and skills by working closely with colleagues, sharing experience and knowledge, being a reflective practitioner who continues to learn from the team and each other.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working with other community-based services, supporting service users with a range of mental health needs at varying stages of recovery.

As a valued member of the team you will have an opportunity to shadow in other areas of the Mental Health HUB and wider service, as part of the induction process.

The post holder will be responsible for responding to duty calls from service users with an open referral to the HUB, their carers or relatives and other professional agencies. The individual will be required to work as part of a multi disciplinary team within a team approach.

To provide leadership for junior staff, through supervision and appraisal.

To provide mentorship for students on placement within the team.

To educate internal and external customers of Service, including students and junior staff of all professions
