Direct Marketing Executive / Charity Fundraising Campaign Officer

Direct Marketing Executive / Charity Fundraising Campaign Officer, known within the organisation as a Legacy Campaign Officer, with experience in a direct marketing environment, excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills is required by a well-established Charity based in Reading, Berkshire.

SALARY: £28,988 pro rata

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Direct Marketing Executive / Charity Fundraising Campaign Officer with experience in a direct marketing environment, excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

The Direct Marketing Executive / Charity Fundraising Campaign Officer will manage the implementation of the Legacy marketing campaign programme.

As the Direct Marketing Executive / Charity Fundraising Campaign Officer you will help increase supporter acquisition, supporter development and stewardship to maximise the number of responses and overall value to the benefit of the Charity.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Direct Marketing Executive / Charity Fundraising Campaign Officer will include:

• Manage the overall delivery of single giving (Legacy) prospect recruitment and stewardship campaigns across all marketing channels, including but not limited to direct mail, digital, broadcast, press, inserts and door-drops

• Manage non-campaign specific projects to time and on budget, including stewardship and retention activity

• Input into the strategic direction of the campaigns acquisition and retention plans and make recommendations for improvement of the scheme and processes

• Seek innovative new ways to promote the product and acquire new and repeat supporters

• Undertake post campaign analysis, producing wrap up reports and making recommendations for campaign improvement

• Manage suppliers to ensure quality work is delivered within the defined schedule and at a competitive cost

• Work directly with the Digital Communications Team and/or the relevant agencies to ensure product specific delivery of campaign content

• Work with other teams to ensure the smooth delivery of activity and to promote the team positively within the organisation

• Manage individual project or campaign budgets, ensuring the financial processes and systems are adhered to

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification, or work experience equivalent

• Demonstrable experience in a direct marketing environment, delivering a variety of projects across a variety of channels simultaneously

• Proven experience in managing project spend and working with a number of different internal teams

• Proven experience of working with external suppliers

• Proven experience in the management of a direct report or a team members’ work delivery

• Proven understanding of direct marketing principles and techniques, and of briefing and interpreting analysis

• Basic understanding of print and production

• Demonstrable knowledge of Data Protection Act, Charity Commission and Institute Of Fundraising Good Practice

• Eligibility to work in the UK
