Dorset HealthCare are looking for a qualified nurse to join our Integrated Urgent Care Service as part of our supportive Community Night Nursing team!
As part of our Community Night Nursing team, you as a nurse will be delivering skilled autonomous nursing care to patients within their own home and will gain an understanding of primary care including the management of long-term conditions. This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your range of skills and knowledge in managing the nursing care of people in their own home or within local clinics.
As part of your community nurse role, you will be working in pairings with an HCA so you are always part of a supportive and collaborative unit. Our service comes equipped with three lease cars which are used during shift covering the whole of Dorset, driving is share in your pairing. The vehicles are stocked with essential nursing equipment, which may be required when visiting including catheters, wound dressings, palliative care stock.
This community nurse post is a full-time post of three nights per week 20:00 – 08:00 on a rota basis and one admin shift of 18:00 – 00:00 every other week where you will answer phone-calls and triage patients before we visit. We can be flexible and would consider condensed hours. Support training is given on this aspect of the job to ensure confidence and competence. There are always other Clinicians in the hub to gain support and advice from.
