Commerical and Business Development Analyst

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial and Business Development Analyst for our client a leading Oil and Gas company based in Aberdeen.
This will be a contract role initially for 12 months and would be suitable for a recent graduate in a financial, business or engineering-based discipline.
Position Overview
The Commercial and Business Development Analyst will work closely with the Commercial and Business Development team by ensuring the timely and accurate analysis of existing and new business opportunities, assisting in the compliance of commercial obligations and the management and execution of a range of standard commercial agreements
Accountabilities
•Ensuring the timely and accurate analysis of existing contracts, commercial and regulatory obligations and new business opportunities through the development of fit for purpose financial and economic models
•Support compliance with joint venture partner, downstream infrastructure owner, third party, regulatory and internal obligations
•Maintain a firm understanding of the threat Cyber Attacks pose in both regular IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology / industrial automation) environments and the potential consequences of such attacks

Key Duties
•Development, maintenance and ownership of financial and economic models in support of the evaluation of existing and new business opportunities, usually as part of a wider project group, to understand value drivers, risks and opportunities
•Support timely analysis and delivery of joint venture partner, infrastructure owner, third party, regulatory and internal obligations in compliance with commercial agreements
•Co-ordinate the drafting, negotiation and execution of standard commercial agreements with Commercial and Business Development Advisors, cross-functional departments and external parties
•Support the negotiation of commercial agreements and terms by providing high quality analysis, including the review of existing and future tariff arrangements, asset/corporate transactions and the provision of third-party terms
•Ensure the accuracy of public data on the company website (including the Oil and Gas UK Commercial/Infrastructure Code of Practice) and external data providers such as WoodMac, Westwood, etc
•Support internal planning and processes, advising on key commercial and contractual matters
•Undertake market intelligence activities to identify new business development opportunities in support of asset strategies, including third party tieback options

Professional Skills & Experience
•Degree qualified in a financial, business or engineering based discipline or relevant experience in a similar role
•Understanding and ability to develop complex financial and economic models
•Strong ability to articulate and present information verbally and in written reports
•Project management experience involving multi-cultural and disciplined teams
•Skilled in standard business software and IT systems, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
