CNC Production Machinist – Turning

Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Production Machinist – Turning, to work on their high spec, high quality products.

Working Hours –

6am to 2.45pm Monday to Thursday. 6am to 12 midday Friday.
Or 2.45pm to 11.45pm Monday to Thursday. 12 midday to 4pm Friday.

The successful candidate will have the below experience:

Inability to program, set and operate a variety of CNC machines efficiently.
*Ability to work on Manual Turning machines.
*Ability to read and use comparators, micrometres, Vernier callipers and any other measuring equipment required.
*Ability to read technical drawings.
*Outstanding eye for detail.
*Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
*Team Player
*Follow strict health and safety procedures.

Main duties/responsibilities:

*Create accurate and efficient CNC programs for Fanuc controlled turning centres.
*Create tool lists, setting notes, inspection/engineering reports.
*Maintain the CNC programs for the lathe ensuring the programs are maintained to the current drawing issue.
*Update MRP system on job completion.
*To actively participate in root cause investigations, ensuring the timely and robust implementation of countermeasures and improvements.
