The candidate will be an experienced Therapy Clinician who will have had substantial experience working as a band 6 or current band 7 within acute services. The successful post holder will receive regular supervision and professional support from the Team Leader.

A keen interest in service development and involving/encouraging more junior staff is essential. The Advanced Therapist will support staff to be innovative and utilise their skills to their best advantage.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the Medical and Surgical Therapy Team as a Band 7 Advanced Occupational Therapist providing clinical expertise and to support the service with patient flow. You will be required to support our current ‘Home First’ discharge to assess model, to support the Team on complex discharges with expert advice and guidance, and have a responsibility to line manage and develop the current Complex Rehabilitation Team. You have a clinical responsibility in this role and work along side the current Team Lead; deputising in their absence.

The Therapy Team and broader MDT team under Medicine and Emergency care CBU is a friendly and supportive place to work and you will work alongside experienced Therapy Team Leaders who will supply the post holder with day to day operational Management.

You must have:
• Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy
• HCPC registration

• Substantial experience working as a band 6 or current band 7 within acute services.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours which will include working flexibly over 7 days
