About the opportunity: As Charity Marketing Lead for Everton in the Community, you will support the development, implementation and delivery of marketing plans and campaigns specific to Everton in the Community and its associated programmes, including revenue generating areas of the charity such as; Lotteries, Fundraising, Regular Giving and Major Donors.

You will ensure that all areas and programmes within the Everton in the Community family are communicated consistently, positively and effectively.

With your passion for marketing, you will actively lead within the department to strive for continual improvement in the work that we carry out, taking responsibility of managing campaigns that can be used to constantly benchmark our work against other sporting charities, the charity / third sector industry in general, as well as other leading worldwide brands. 

There will not be any line management responsibilities for this role therefore, previous line management experience is not essential.

Revenue generation is key to supporting the charity, so ensuring end-to-end campaigns are fully trackable is very important. 

Other Key Responsibilities

Lead the client service function for members of the Everton in the Community.

Support development and delivery of marketing activity across other programmes within the Everton in the Community family

To ensure that Everton in the Community requirements are accurately briefed in and scheduled in accordance with Club protocol.

To support in branding projects where required across the Charity.

Who we are looking for; We are looking for a talented marketing professional who has previous experience of working on high profile marketing campaigns and incorporating PR and digital media across different business streams, all whilst working towards tight deadlines and using your commercial judgment in making key decisions.  

Key Skills & Knowledge

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Good commercial judgment

Experience of working with a design studio, either directly or through an agency

A good understanding of issues relating to football clubs and sports organisations in general.

Experience of managing high profile marketing campaigns, incorporating PR and digital media

Knowledge of paid for social media and digital campaigns

Educated to Degree level in marketing / events or related discipline.

This position is on a permanent basis and will be contracted to 35 hours per week.

This role will involve a mixture of working at the Club’s iconic headquarters in the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool, as well as working in and around Goodison Park when required to be close to Everton in the Community. There will also be the opportunity to work flexibly with our Hybrid working approach.
