CATEGORY MARKETING MANAGER, (FMCG)

Circa £40,000 plus benefits

Job role / duties
•Update & collate data and manage the database of competitor information
•Be involved with GAP analysis, market research and NPD
•Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with stakeholders and suppliers regarding new projects, supplies and initiatives and advise of impact of change on purchasing and production activities
•Stay up to date with any changes that may affect the supply and demand of goods, materials or services and advise relevant stakeholders of any potential impact
•Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships, developing and managing communications
•Negotiate contracts, prices and terms of business
•Work closely with the Group Marketing Manager to develop effective Sales and Marketing support programmes
•Take responsibility for the Commercial development and positioning of the company’s core product range
•Manage Consumer Marketing to ensure strong creation of brand identity and development of new packaging
•Present to Senior level customer
•Take control of the Company’s sustainability positioning
To be considered for this role, you must:
•Possess a degree in Marketing and/or Business Studies.
•Have experience of bid & tender management
•Have ability to implement ideas and initiatives.
•Be an exceptional verbal & written communicator
•Have advanced MS Office ability
•Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Have worked in a highly commercial environment
