** Bookkeeper/ Administration**
Salary: £20k-£25K DOE
This is a GREAT opportunity to work for a very well known & established chartered accountant in the centre of Chester.
My client is offering a welcoming, friendly and relaxed working environment. Working Monday – Friday 9am-5:30pm.
This role will be to assist with the bookkeeping and management accounting process for a number of clients – posting invoices, reconciling bank and preparing journals. Producing month-end reports for clients. This will mainly be on Xero and Sage.
Data processing and reconciliations both at clients premises and in the office
Preparation of VAT Returns
In addition the successful applicant will assist regularly with:
Accounts preparation for smaller business clients
Administrative assistance in monitoring our Work In progress and fee ledgers
The position responsibilities
Dealing with ad hoc queries raised by clients
Experience with Sage Line 50, Xero and related Cloud-based apps
Ability to reconcile all control accounts
Ability to work unsupervised
Experience of book-keeping for at least 2 years
Previously worked in accountancy practice preparing financial statements.
Microsoft Excel & Word
Be approachable to other members of the team
Excellent communication skills
Be able to manage your work load
Support and provide on the job training to less experienced members of the team as required
Strong personal ethics
Sage Line 50
Xero (training will be provided)
