Due to a recent restructure, multiple exciting, new opportunities have come up within the Adults Health and Care Deaf Services team, part of the Physical Disabilities department, for some Assistant Case Workers to join the service.The team are responsible for completing Care Act 2014 assessments, Mental Capacity assessments, carers assessments, dealing with Safeguarding concerns and ensuring that Deaf BSL users have the appropriate equipment in place. The team prioritise referrals that come from the public, professionals and family members, using a variety of communication skills, professional judgement and an understanding and empathy of peoples needs and circumstances. The Deaf Services Team are a county wide team. There is an expectation that the right candidate will need to drive to cover areas that are assigned to them as well as cover other areas of the county when team members are sick or on leave.
