Your new role
An exciting new opportunity near Bridge of Weir working with adults with a range of different complex needs. We are looking for support workers who are interested in the long term temporary opportunity with the potential to go permanent after a successful temporary period.
This position is to assist in the support of the service users on an individual 1:1 basis or part of a team and help promote physical & emotional wellbeing and general health of the service users building on their feelings of security, responsibility and worth
We are looking for support workers who have experience and knowledge within autism, learning disabilities, epilepsy and other additional complex needs.
What you’ll need to succeed
Drivers Essential
A minimum of 6 months experience within a similar care setting in the last 2 years
SVQ Level 2 or Level 3 are desirable but not vital
Experience and willingness to provide/assist with personal care when required (helping to wash, toilet, dress and assisting with meals).
Experience in administering medication, preparing meals, and planning and partaking in activities
Experience with providing support and care to children or adults with learning disabilities.
Experience with dealing with challenging behaviour.
Being passionate about supporting people with a genuine desire to make a real difference in people’s lives
Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude and the ability to be a good team player
