Your new role
Your new role will require you to provide both remote and onsite support to clients, diagnose and resolve service incidents and requests, create standard documentation on problem resolution, and keep up-to-date with new technology trends. You’ll use your string experience to build key internal and external relationships and work effectively in a fast-paced environment where each day is different.
You’ll also work closely with the support team to ensure swift and efficient resolution of assigned calls, and assist with incident resolution for any onsite devices. Additionally, you will be responsible for entering time and expenses, documenting internal processes and procedures, and communicating with key stakeholders. You will be expected to provide assistance to the Service Delivery Manager and complete all tasks within set SLAs.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be a success in this role, you will have experience in deskside support or other user support functions. You will have strong hands-on problem-solving expertise in desktop hardware, operating systems, and software packages. Additionally, you should have a good working knowledge of a wide variety of IT hardware such as desktops, laptops, tablets, and other peripheral devices. Possessing a good understanding of structured cabling or Wi-Fi connectivity such as Cisco routers, switches, and Wireless Access Points (WAP) would be beneficial.
Furthermore, you should be able to provide support for mobile devices and have experience in Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems, including the Office 365 suite of applications. Experience in server backup configuration and management, DHCP, DNS, and SSL Certificate Management would stand you in good stead for success.
