We are a group of volunteers that helps find out what you are entitled to when it comes to universal credit.
We receive no government funding and are not associated to any government agencies in any way, all of our services are free to use and your information is not stored or sold for commercial gain.
Universal credit was launched in October 2013 and universalcredit.co.uk was re-branded as a news/blog outlet for anything related to the new benefits system.
The website was then rebuilt in 2019 by a group of volunteers with the vision to help those who are applying for the new benefit. Once again our services are free and we receive no funding from any organisation.
A short story about the owner:
I’m 30 years old, i have 3 children. I worked for her majesty’s prison service for five years from 2014-2019.
Unfortunately i had to leave the prison service for health reasons and was left with no other option but to look at the new benefit system universal credit, although i have applied for many jobs and looked at new careers there comes a time when we need support from the government.
There has been a lot of bad press about the new benefit system and i have to say it is warranted.
However, after researching every possible aspect i decided to help those in need get the benefit that they are entitled too, it really sounds more complicated that it really is, so i decided to create universalcredit.co.uk to help those in need of support.
The whole benefit system has been delayed meaning the roll out of universal credit will now not be completed until the year 2023, not 2021 that was originally projected.
