Universal Credit is being rolled out nationwide. You can check online to see if you are eligible to claim this online only benefit. If you are eligible to claim universal credit then you can click on the link above. After you have made a claim you will be advised to attend an interview with Jobcentre Plus.

Citizens Advice have put together an excellent online guide to claiming universal credit along with details of criteria for making a claim.

The website also answers many common questions raised in regards to universal credit, there are also government helplines that you can call to assist you when making your online claim

    40 mins to fill in details, go to payment details and system unavailable, try again later. Means you have to start from scratch. No wonder people give up on it and choose the homeless route.
